​MAY 13 Mississipi Valley Blues Festival
Just in time for its 30th anniversary in 2014, the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival has been honored with a Keeping the Blues Alive Award from The Blues Foundation of Memphis, TN, the world-renown organization dedicated to preserving our blues music history, celebrating recording and performance excellence, supporting blues education and ensuring the future of this uniquely American art form. The coveted award, in the U.S. Festival category, is the equivalent of lifetime achievement recognition.

The Monterey Bay Blues Festival has filed for bankruptcy, effectively ending the 27-year-old music tradition on the Central Coast.
​JUNE 18 Dal Mississipi al PO Blues Festival
Evento unico nel suo genere, torna il Festival di Piacenza, Dal Mississippi al Po (10-18 giugno). Alla Fnac, potete incontrare alcuni dei protagonisti: Joe R. Lansdale, Linwood Barclay, Frank Lisciandro, Lance Leadbetter, Anthony Neil Smith, R.J. Ellory, Tim Willocks, Peppe Lanzetta, Paolo Pasi e Marino Grandi ed a chiudere i famosissismi CCBB (Civilino Cicco Blues Band). Concerti e incontri letterari nelle piazze di Piacenza. Parole e musica in un flusso continuo, come le acque dei grandi fiumi che hanno segnato la storia del blues e delle comunità .
​JULY 25 PISTOIA Blues Festival
Pistoia Blues Festival 2014, classico appuntamento annuale per gli amanti del genere: quest’anno si svolgerà dal 20 al 25 Luglio e la location privilegiata per i concerti sarà sempre Piazza Duomo, con il supporto di altre aree della città dove si potranno seguire eventi come presentazioni di libri, dj set a tema, jam session tenute da musicisti professionisti e varie esibizioni.
